The Draft Rules of Jharkhand for the Code on Wages (“Draft Rules”) has been notified in the gazette on 14 July 2021.
Applicability
The Draft Rules upon coming into force shall extend to the whole of the State of Jharkhand, and they shall come into force on the date of their publication in the Official Gazette of the State of Jharkhand.
The Draft Rules upon coming into force shall repeal:
- The Jharkhand Wages Payment Rules, 1937; and
- The Jharkhand Minimum Wages Rules,1961
