Draft of Code on Social Security (Jammu & Kashmir) Rules, 2021

The Draft Rules of Social Security (Jammu & Kashmir) Rules, 2021 has been notified in the gazette on 15 January 2021.

Applicability

The Draft Rules upon coming into force shall extend to extend to the territorial Jurisdiction of Jammu and Kashmir and they shall come into force after the date of their final publication in the Official Gazette, on the date of the commencement of the Code on Social Security, 2020.

Upon the Rules coming to force, it shall repeal:

• Jammu and Kashmir Workmen’s Compensation Rules, 1972;
• Jammu and Kashmir Payment of Gratuity Rules, 1973;
• Jammu and Kashmir Maternity Benefit Rules, 1974;
• Jammu and Kashmir Building and Other Constructions Workers (Regulation of Employment and Conditions of Service) Rules, 2006;
• Jammu and Kashmir Unorganised Workers’ Social Security Rules, 2010.
