The Draft Rules of Chhattisgarh for the Code on Wages (“Draft Rules”) has been notified in the gazette on 25 May 2021.
Applicability
The Draft Rules upon coming into force shall extend to the whole of the State of Chhattisgarh, and they shall come into force on the date of their final publication in the Official Gazette.
The Draft Rules upon coming into force shall repeal:
- The Minimum Wages (Chhattisgarh) Rules, 1958
- The Chhattisgarh Payment of Wages Rules, 1962

- Form IV – Register of Wages, Overtime, Advances, Fine, Deduction for damage and Loss [Rule 11(2), 16 and rule-35(1)]
- Form V – Wage Slip [Rule 36]
- Form VI – Application u/s 56(4) for Composition of Offence [Rule 44(1)]
- Form VII – Nomination Form [Rule 35(4)]
- Form VIII – Form of Notice to the Respondent to be issued by the Authority u/s 45(5) [Rule 37(4)]
- Form IX – Attendance Register cum Muster Roll [Rule 35(5)]
- Annual Return - The return under these rules shall be filed online by every employer of an establishment to which the Code applies, within a period and form prescribed by the state government from completion of financial year, with the Inspector-cum-Facilitator appointed in the said area.
