This initiative addresses challenges faced by certain members in linking their Aadhaar to the Universal Account Number (UAN), ensuring timely settlement of claims.
Eligible Member Categories:
International Workers (IWs): Individuals who have completed their assignments in India and departed without obtaining an Aadhaar.
Indian Workers with Foreign Citizenship: Individuals who have permanently migrated abroad and acquired foreign citizenship without possessing an Aadhaar.
Citizens of Nepal and Bhutan: Individuals employed in establishments covered under the EPF & MP Act, residing abroad, and consequently not holding an Aadhaar.
Key Provisions:
UAN Generation: For the aforementioned members, a UAN must be generated if not already existing. However, the requirement to link Aadhaar with UAN is waived due to their inability to obtain Aadhaar.
Alternative Identification: Physical claims from these members will be accepted and processed upon verification using alternative identification documents:
