A Journal Entry or a Journal Voucher (JV) is a way to enter non-cash or bank transactions into an accounting software. In the context of Payroll and an accounting application, a Journal Entry is used to update information on the Payroll expenses and indicate the amounts to be paid to employees, statutory dues, and such others.
You basically create a JV at the end of a payroll cycle when you have to update information on credits such as to bank, PF payable, and IT payable. Generally, you need to manually make such entries or import them using a specifically formatted Excel file. Using this feature of greytHR, you can now update the JV into QBO easily and automate this tedious task.
The integration process is quite simple. Setup activities, such as creation of account heads, are automatically done once you connect to QBO. You also have provision to post the JV either as a consolidated entry or by Location/Department.
To export JVs to QBO, the primary prerequisite is to establish a connection to QBO from greytHR as a one-time activity. You can do this from the Home page.
To get additional information on the complete process of connecting, configuring, and posting a Journal Entry, please refer to the documentation on our Help site.
Go ahead! Post your journal entries into QBO easily, accurately, and absolutely FREE!
